Introduction

SanDisk's updated Extreme SD cards now feature read speeds up to 150MB/s. The Extreme 150MB/s UHS-I U3 V30 128GB SDXC card can reach up to 150MB/s read speed only in SanDisk's proprietary card reader, model SDDR-C531. When used in other card readers the card has lower read speed. SanDisk claims a maximum write speed of 70 MB/s.

The Extreme 150MB/s card is rated Video Speed Class V30, meaning it can provide at least 30MB/s continuous write speed for 4K video recording. The card is offered in 64, 128 and 256 GB capacities. The card tested for this review is the 128GB SDXC card with model SDSDXV5-128G-A and UPC 619659170400. The card has a lifetime warranty from SanDisk.
