Two ultra-low dispersion elements and one aspherical element help produce excellent image quality while minimizing chromatic aberrations.To prevent ghosting and flare considerably, Canon has applied ASC (Air Sphere Coating), SSC (Super Spectra Coating), SWC (Sub Wavelength Coating), and Fluorine coatings to this lens.
